Tangram โ€” the classic for spatial thinking

What it is

Seven flat shapes: 5 triangles, a square, a parallelogram. They combine into silhouettes โ€” a cat, a house, a person โ€” with no gaps or overlaps.

How to start

Begin with a template showing internal lines within the silhouette. Then move to a silhouette with no hints about piece placement. The final level: inventing an original shape.
